Le mécanisme
Rose polyphenols neutralize free radicals. Tannins have a mild astringent action that temporarily tightens pores. Aromatic compounds (citronellol, geraniol) have a calming effect via the olfactory pathway.
Tradition ancestrale
Introduced to Europe by the Crusaders in the 12th century, cultivated in Grasse since the 17th century for perfumery. Its cosmetic use dates back to Egyptian antiquity (Cleopatra). K-beauty has integrated it since 2015 in 'comfort' care.
