Le mécanisme

Camellia oil is composed of 80% oleic acid (omega 9) — the dominant fatty acid in human sebum. The skin 'recognizes' it and absorbs it without a greasy reaction. Vitamin E (tocopherols) protects skin lipids from oxidation. Phytosterols modulate chronic inflammation.

Tradition ancestrale

The women of Jeju have used camellia oil for their hair and skin for at least 1,000 years. It is a feminine ritual passed down from mother to daughter. Under Joseon, queens had it specially brought from Jeju — the oil was stored in celadon vials sealed with beeswax.

  2. 02 Mix with cream to boost nourishment
  3. 03 Ideal as an oil for hair and dry ends
  4. 04 Excellent in facial massage (gua sha)
