Le mécanisme
Silicic acid is a cofactor of the enzyme prolyl hydroxylase, indispensable to collagen maturation. Without sufficient silica, the collagen produced is unstable. Bamboo flavonoids neutralize free radicals, and the sap contains a remineralizing amino acid cocktail.
Tradition ancestrale
Bamboo is sacred in Korean culture — a symbol of uprightness and longevity. Joseon women drank a decoction of bamboo leaves to preserve their inner youth, and used the cooking water as an evening face wash.
