Sodium hyaluronate · 히알루론산
A molecule naturally present in the dermis, capable of holding up to 1,000 times its weight in water. In cosmetics, it exists in several molecular weights: long chains hydrate the surface, short ones penetrate the dermis. K-beauty particularly masters multi-weight formulations for multi-level hydration.

Comment ça agit, scientifiquement
High-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid (>1,000 kDa) forms a hydrating film on the surface. Medium-weight chains (100-1,000 kDa) hydrate the epidermis. Short chains (<50 kDa) penetrate as far as the superficial dermis, where they stimulate the endogenous synthesis of hyaluronic acid by fibroblasts.

Discovered in 1934 in the vitreous of the eye. Used in aesthetic medicine since 1995 (injections). In topical cosmetics since the 2000s. K-beauty democratized 'multi-weight hyaluronic' serums that have become industry standards.
