Le mécanisme
The anthocyanins in black rice (mainly cyanidin-3-glucoside) neutralize free radicals with efficacy 4× greater than vitamin E. Fermentation hydrolyzes the molecules into bioavailable peptides and increases the niacinamide concentration.

Black rice was reserved for the emperor in ancient China — hence its nickname 'forbidden rice'. In Korea, it was included in royal recipes for its invigorating properties. Its scientific cosmetic use began around 2018.
